Good Luck Charm polyvore

By Chloe Via Saks
Horseshoes are considered a good luck charm in many cultures. Typically with the two ends pointing upward which symbolizes the coming of good luck but in some cultures, pointing downwards means the luck is pouring into you....And since I feel like the luckiest girl today(18th dec), would love to share with you some of these lucky charm. Some classic horseshoe jewelry that never go out of fashion. I like how simple this looks on Sarah Jessica Parker.

The Very Productive Day!

Spotted many of these!!!

K in his new hair-do!
Very happy with the food. K and I had The seafood Bisque and Mushroom Ravioli. Before the mains came, we were served with freshly toasted black squid ink walnut bread, mini puffs, and Bruschetta. Super yummy! Plus I love my new hair cut.

My mum gave very specific instructions to move in on this date , at this time and the more people the merrier. Our family is quite the typical Chinese family hence the arrangement. There isn't a better date for me to move and if i dont move on the 11th Dec before 9am, i will have to wait till next year. So of course i made sure i did the formalities this year. Half awake but surprisingly on time, K was sitting in front of the building waiting for me. But alas, we unpacked the rice bucket, placed a bag of jasmine rice in it displayed the bottle of olive oil, a bottle of table salt (mum's request) but we found out the parkay flooring in the master was still not up to expectations. The site manager agreed to remove the entire flooring and redo it. That's a 2 week delay!!!
However, That did not dampen my mood as I was looking forward to spending the day with K. We sat down at the nearby starbucks, busy searching for places to go. We thought of driving out to Ayutthaya (old city of Thailand) which would take us about an hour. I wasn't mentally prepared for a day excursion so instead, we went to a local fair in the nearby exhibition hall. It wasn't great and yet we still managed to fill up the back seats!

Scandi Society(pic above) was on the list of to-visit: vintage sandi!! It is a furniture gallery that carries all Scandinavian pieces mainly from the 1960s till present. all original second hand pieces....The selection was great...Hans wegner pieces everywhere.. Some needed more repair work than others. It is definitely more organized than Y50 @ Ekamai. (Y50 bids for pieces on

Artwork! Simple & Clean....

I have been playing around with photo shop lately...exploring the wonders of it....Also working on artwork for the website, the look, feel, content etc. I want to keep it simple just like him. Moritz has a clean and simple to navigate site! It has that good balance since his pieces are quite elaborate. I would love to design something simple and easy but just a little different....

Glik had a very successful career in his native Brazil as one of the most sought-after shoe designers. Yet, mesmerized by the jewelry workshop next to his studio, he soon realized his true passion in jewelry design.

Elegant and mysterious, Glik designs are very architectural in their form and lines. The work is very contemporary but you can always sense the influence of antique jewelry in the creative processes behind his designs. Glik's signature collection creates the illusion of diamonds and precious stones floating within their settings. Many of his pieces are fluid, assuming their shape only when worn. Check it out here for yourself. So inspired!!!!!!

Thai Fashion Designers again....

So K and I went crazy when Siam Discovery had a Thai designer brand sale a few days back! We bought over 15 pieces of this and that! I was definitely in control but the temptation was too strong. Esp. when K is always encouraging me!!! : ) A few brands I bought from: Good Mixer / Muse which is by Good Mixer, Theatre, Shaka etc.

Yes of course I have to mention, Shaka London again because I love the style and that bubble skirt i got from Shaka is so easy to wear. It's the skirt I try to reserve for a special day so that it wont lose its charm. I shall take some pics of it one day and flaunt it here! Images above were found via little black book who shares my opinion on Shaka.

27 Friday @ Gaysorn

A thai brand worn by many hollywood celebrities, Disaya, is a fun, whimsical label. Pari is in a stone encrusted smiley face!

This is the ideal black dress for my wardrobe!

Last but not least, if you have seen my previous blog posting, Senada is another of one those established brand in Thailand. It's one brand I always visit. Its feel: Oriental-inspired, cutting-edge fashions featuring sumptuous materials and the finest handiwork. Chinese cottons, Thai silks, European satins, Indian jacquard and Japanese linings come together in street savvy creations. Pic from Gaysorn. If you are into THai designers, Gaysorn is the right place to go.

It's the 1st of December!

It's december... I wonder.. how did December creep up so suddenly? And soon 2009 is coming to an end...and 2010 is approaching in 30 days! December always makes me want to slow down and think of the things i have and have not done. But december also puts me in a festive mood. December reminds me of Christmas & childhood memories... White Christmas tree (the one we used to put up), and santa claus (my dad). December, you certainly have some sort of impact on me! Somewhat magical/ dreamy/ and i have to admit... It's a lazy month. I just want to dream away...Take me to Tokyo! This year Toyko is determined to be one of the most spectacular cities to visit in December. Thank god, the japs are using LED (enegery saving) lights to lit up the streets...Japan alas! It's coming to the end of the year. I reminded K about this trip that has been postponed several times. He was sweet about it. 2010 will see if we can make a trip then.

One of my newer creation...Inspired by ancient Chinese Disc (bi). So intrigued by the fine detailed animated carvings (dragon designs). It's a sharart.
Fresh water pearl with brown diamonds, 18 white gold.

recent addition! Tibetan floral. I love the 3 dimensional effect of this piece. Silver South Sea Pearl, Purple sapphires, white diamonds in 18K white gold.

A simple single. Fresh water pearl, white diamond in 18K white gold!
Looking back, i have to comment that the Asian influence is still prevalent is all my designs and i am glad that the collection is consistent in that way. I do appreciate the time i have in the antique gallery as i get to have some quiet moments to reflect. Enjoy! It's the 2nd of December.

These pieces are currently available @ SIN (OP Gardens, Bangkok)
