Art Deco Egyptian Jewels by VCA



Always nice to chance upon some vintage  goodness such as this clip by VCA

November  1922: archaeologist Howard Carter, heart pounding and candle in hand, finally penetrated Tutankhamen's tomb. The discovery hit the headlines in newspapers all over the planet. God bless the pharaoh! He was to set the imagination of VCA and many jewel housesAs the treasures of the young king were brought to light, Van Cleef & Arpels jewellery was adorned with ibises, sphinxes and crouching scribes...the thousand mysteries of Egypt like in the Egyptian bracelets (1924) in platinum, sapphires, rubies, emeralds and diamonds, and the Egyptian buckle clip (1925) in platinum, rubies, emeralds, diamonds and onyx.
